It’s Happening…

The next generation of tennis rivalry is starting to take shape. While Roger Federer has been pumping out kids like a factory, Novak Djokovic took to Twitter today with is message

I’m not going to be sure on how I want to react to this for a while. I’m happy for him, I’m sad for myself, and I know that she is saying thanks to God. Hopefully this child is cute, and talented in some way, shape, or form. Congratulations to you two… I guess. You guys just continue to live it up in Greece all engaged and with child. Don’t worry about me. I’ll just be putting all my hopes and dreams in the trash, and into prayers that I don’t hear this kind of thing from Grigor.

I knew it. Grigor is a class act. In Miami over the weekend, Grigor noticed a ball girl was feeling a little ill and helped her out. He was even losing (and eventually lost in straights to Nishikori). A true knight in shining armor.

 

 

Let’s see how long it is before ball girls start using this trick all the time. I wish I would have thought of that sooner.

Ok So Part 2

This was actually really tough, and not for the reasons I thought. I thought everyone was going to be super hot, and I was going to have so many options. Instead, I was scrambling for options. I can’t say i’m 100% proud of this list. I was going for like who is real GQ model HOT pieces of meat, not just hot for tennis.

So this list is the Victoria Ybarra Top 13 Hottest Tennis Pros (ranked 1-300). Why? I figured it would only count to feature players who actually played. This is probably only like top 100, because the lesser knowns have no pictures

I’m going to do this in two ways (I am also very bored at work if you couldn’t tell). I’m going to do this just using the top 20 men like the article does, but then I’m going to do it using which ever pros I want. 

So the first way. This is the Victoria Ybarra official hotness ranking of the TOP 20 ranked tennis pros. 

20. Stanislas Wawrinka – His skin is shit and he’s just not a good looking person

19. Juan Martin Del Potro – TOO. MUCH. HAIR. EVERYWHERE.

18. Jerzy Janowicz – Not horrible, but needs some work. Can look a little frankensteinish

17. John Isner – That little tiny head has bugged me since day one, and will always bug me.

As you may know Andy Roddick is now working for Fox Sports 1. He kicked things off with a Roger Federer interview. Now I know that this could have been really compelling. Instead, it went a little differently.

 

I really hope this is what all Roddick’s interviews become… Just him coming to terms with everyone he lost to. Look at him, his balding, bitter self star just staring at Federer and all his hair. Trying to be witty and cute, but really just planning out his self-deprecation binge drinking session that happened after this interview.

Well… here I am

Yes, I haven’t posted since April. I’ve had a lot of 1st world problems going on. Like right now I’m tired and don’t feel like stringing anymore rackets so thats why I’m actually doing this. My life is hard.

I guess I also chose to come back now, because I love this part of the summer. US Open Series time if my fav!  There is always drama, things seem more fast paced. The heat makes people do crazy things.

One thing that I think is just absurd is the fact that this is making headlines.

This is going to be a first

Today, I’ve decided to do something a bit different and bring you a product review. I basically added two new items to my tennis wardrobe and I’m excited about it.

The first thing I picked up is this little beauty.

This is the Nike Force Pleated Dress. I saw Serena wear it and I was like I need it. I saw pictures of it online and definitely needed it. Then I saw some random girl wearing it and died needing it. So I bought it. Directly from Nike so no I didn’t pay 90 bucks.

Ok I love it. Design wise it’s so me. The hint of bright green at the bottom, the ruffle skirt, and the blues and greens. 100% me. I will say it was a lot lighter then I expected. It seemed on others to be really heavy, almost like they were wearing Herve Leger, but it’s really comfortable weight wise.

There is one thing that needs to be addressed. It’s tight as hell. I don’t know what God Serena prays to, or what devil she makes deals with, but that sucker is tight. I have yet to play with it so we will see how that ends up.

Next I got this fantastic tank.

This number is the Nike Force Cotton Tank. I ordered it and then saw the next two girls Maria played in Miami rocking it. So I got even more excited. It arrived today and I’ll tell you I haven’t taken it off. It’s so comfortable, so cute, and super flattering. I absolutely love it, and totally recommend it. I want it in all the colors they have.

So to sum it all up, the dress may not be for everyone, but I say run out and I get that tank top.

I’m underwhelmed.

Now that Berdych has made the crazy switch from whatever to H&M, I was expecting huge things. I was hoping for some hipster tennis mash up, but no. I wanted some weird print or like a faux denim shirt. Maybe even a skinny jean warm up. No its the same boring white shirt black shorts with a H&M logo. What the heck?

You wanna know the dumbest part about it? You can’t even buy it. If you were so compelled to go to hm.com the closest thing to mens sportswear you could find is a wristlet to keep your iPhone, and a hoodie. Oh and don’t forget the David Beckham underwear. Looks like he’s the kid in school thats too poor to buy H&M so he asked his mom to slap a few logos on his old Nike gear to the other kids won’t make fun of him. Sorry to break it to you Tomas, they ARE making fun of you.

Well… That Was Kinda Cool

So this happened.

I won’t lie, Radwanska, that was pretty impressive. Everyone keep talking about it, because you probably won’t ever be able to do something like that… or ever come across in that situation.

Moving on. This is more interesting.

Someone decided it would be really fun, and cool to ask the players who they think should be playing them in a movie… As you see some of them take a few liberties in their choice.

First of all, whatever Heather Watson. I was 19 once. You would. Daniela, keep dreaming, you too Victoria. While we are at it, you wish Maria. You wish.

 

So Here Is The Deal

I was struggling to make a post about my trip to Indian Wells, and going to the LA Tennis Challenge. I  was struggling to do lack of internet at home, and more hours at work.

It wasn’t going to be that interesting anyway. A good time was had by all.

Now something that I need to write about is  something I thought we went over before. I guess some people don’t get it.

At the Sony Open Tennis player party in Miami the other day, someone by the name of Daniela Hantuchova did something very bad. Let’s see if you can tell what it is.

She is wearing those damn shoes. You know the one strutted around Australia with. Girl, they don’t look good. They don’t fit. They aren’t even like nice shoes. Do you not have room for anything else? I know the rest of that outfit isn’t taking up much room. You obviously did not bring a hair brush. I don’t get it. Please get rid of them. They aren’t doing you any favors. Thank you.
