It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday Part 1

First of all, I hope everyone that celebrates had a fantastic thanksgiving. Mine was involved equal amounts of delicious foods, and alcoholic drinks, but thats enough of that talk!

So anyway, in my last post I said I would be sharing some of my best times, and stories from my years at the Farmers Classic. So here we go.

My first part of my stroll down memory lane has to be probably one of my favorite stories in life.

So I have met some pretty freaking great people of the years at tournament. I’m not talking the pros, even though they are great too. I’m talking about the people I worked with. I have had some awesome times with these people who are really some of my good friends. This classy photo was taken from on of my favorite nights out.

This is one of my first experiences after graduating to the 21+ group, and it was a blast! After a day full of matches, and heat, we all headed down to the local Westwood Brewing Co. Now the Brew Co. is cool cause they have many different rooms with totally different feels. The bottom floor is super chill and has a big open area, upstairs was karaoke night, and a total party.

As soon as we got upstairs we noticed that Israeli player Dudi Sela was trying to move on from his loss earlier that day with drink in hand. He came up to me and was like “You are from the tennis?” I was like “Yes!” and he greeted me with a huge hug. That’s when I knew it was going to a night to remember. My friends and I danced the night away with the Sela crew, stiff drinks in hand. We all ended the night belting out a classic Backstreet Boys tune.

This is just one of the reasons why the tournaments defined my summer. It was hanging out with friends, and just having a great time. (I picked up a pretty decent tan too!) Come back for part two tomorrow for a completely different side of things.
